happy?
- Are the children playing and having fun?
- Is children's work on display?
- Is the children's day a balance of free play,
structure, small group and whole group activities?
- Does the playschool have a sound early
childhood growth and development philosophy?
- Does the playschool have an early years
curriculum, clear goals for the children, based on early childhood
teaching principles?
- Is the playschool clean, organized and the
premises well-maintained?
- Is there a variety of quality toys, learning
games and center areas?
- Is the building and furniture child friendly
? Are the sinks and toilets child size?
- Do the children eat a nutritious, warm lunch
everyday as well as breakfast and a snack?
- Are parents made to feel welcome and part of
the playschool?
- Do the parents have an information board,
receive newsletters, childrenīs progress reports and individual
conferences and have parent meetings with the staff?
- Is the staff properly trained? Does the
playschool employ native English speakers?
- Does staff receive on-going training and attend
workshops?
- Does the staff have first aid training for
children?
- Do the children have guidelines for safety and
good manners?
